AI SIRES

I am a firm believer that Seed Stock producers should be utilizing their own bulls in their herds. If you have no faith in your own breeding, why should anyone else?

We expect a lot out of our Herd Bulls - our breeding season is mostly 6weeks long, they have to keep their condition and try to stay as healthy as possible while doing it! And, to top that, we have a Bull Leasing program so once their done with us, sometimes they have to go work their second (or third) job! We do try to set them up for success with their best hoof forward, they are vaccinated for all respiratory viruses as well as Lepto and Vibrio, a black leg complex with Histophilus somnus (use to be called Sleeper Syndrome) and a footrot vaccine annually. They are trich tested when they come home from a Lease job. And, they are occasionally treated with a small amount of whole oats or a protein pellet supplement over the winter.

Sire: Bell M Foreman 30A     Dam: DF Perfect 14C

Another home-raised bull - this guy checked all my boxes when it came to the selection process. He's docile, wide topped and has a solid foot. His dam is one of our easy-keepers, my wish is to share that ability through his calves.

"Bucky" is also one of my Lease Bulls - he seen a little over 50 cows in 2024 as a yearling (with a second bull to assist). My Lease holder should have a majority of his calves in 2025, as the backup bull was injured.

Very excited for his 2025 calf crop!

Sire: Bell M Mint 71E     Dam: Creekside Tinsel's Girl 8D

Bred by Rylan Knupp, Diamond Creek Cattle Co in Weyburn SK.

We feel extremely privileged to have purchased "Todd" from the Madsen family, Kroner Cattle Co. in Hamiota, Mb. They were finished using him in their herd, and his disposition and amazing calving ease were a couple of the many things Marty appreciated about this bull.

We are pleased with the natural thickness this bull has, and what he can provide in our herd. He's big footed and correct in his hoof shape. His muscle expression is something you don't often see in this breed, which adds to our excitement!

Needless to say, I will be taking a step back on Ai'ing this year to give "Hot-Toddy" the chance with as many ladies as he can get!
